“Where is my horse?”
Jessy was shocked to see that her horse had disappeared. She only saw the owner of the stable! He couldn’t believe what he saw. He said, “I’ve never witnessed a horse with such power …”. Jessy was not interested in what he said. She wanted to find out where her horse was. She demanded that he tell her what happened and where the horse was. The stable owner continued to shake his head as if he were as confused as Jessy. Jessy began to worry that something had gone wrong. She could not imagine what had happened to her horse or why the owner of the stable seemed helpless.
She began to worry that her horse was stolen in the night. She repeatedly asked the owner of the stable if he’d seen anything. His words were hollow and unconvincing. Jessy felt a sense of dread, as if the stable owner were hiding something. She asked the stable owner many questions, but he seemed to have no answers. She decided to search the barn herself to see if there were any clues. She asked other stable workers if they saw anything in the hope that they would tell the truth. She was determined that she would find out what happened to her horse.
