No Response
Jessy receives no response in the hours that follow. She sat home preparing for Amber’s interview. She called her. She tried calling her. She then checked her message to see if Amber had already opened it. She noticed that Amber had not been online in hours. Jessy began to worry and wondered what had happened. She was trying figure out why Amber had gone radio silent. This was not in their plan. She tried to remember the last time she and Amber spoke, to see if Amber said anything to explain her sudden silence.
She began to imagine the worst possible scenarios, and her concern grew as the hours went by. Amber’s family didn’t respond when she called them. She checked her phone constantly, hoping for a message. But nothing. She began to lose faith and could not help but think that something was wrong. She began to worry about what might be lurking in the streets, and she wondered if her friend was still alive. She wanted to know where Amber was and what happened to her. She was filled with dread, fear and terror at the unknown.
