Sudden Notice
Jessy initially was too overwhelmed to talk. She didn’t respond to the reporter’s question and stared blankly into the microphones. She didn’t know what was happening! Jenny felt as if she could not breathe because the journalists asked her question after question. Jessy’s heart beat faster every time her name was mentioned. She felt like everyone was watching her, even though that wasn’t possible. She had never before felt so vulnerable and exposed in her entire life. Jessy was terrified and wanted to hide. She stood there feeling petrified, wishing the ground would swallow her. She was terrified of being in the spotlight, and wondered when she would feel normal again.
Jessy’s body began to tremble in fear the more the reporters pushed. She closed her eyes, as she didn’t want to make eye-contact with anyone. She wanted to go back to normal life, and not be the center of attention. She was also filled with a feeling of dread. She was afraid of what could happen and the unknown. She was afraid of what all the attention would bring. Jessy thought she was dreaming, but it was unfortunately all too true. She whispered to herself a silent prayer in the hope that she would be able to get out of this situation unscathed. She noticed something that she had never seen before.
