”A man”
The stranger told how a man dressed in riding clothing ran away with her horse. The stranger, who was confident in his own abilities, pointed to the direction from which they had come. The direction was the exact one of the stables. What was the owner of the stable up to? Did he tell her a lie? Jessy didn’t know, but she was tempted to believe the stranger because of the certainty in his voice. She needed to know the truth. Jessy took in a deep breathe, steeled her self and decided to lead searchers towards the stables. She needed to know if the stranger was telling the truth. Will the stable owner have any idea what happened in Africa? Jessy was convinced that the stranger had a point. She needed to know if he had a point.
Jessy took the lead, even though she wasn’t sure of its veracity. She was willing to take any risk to reach Africa. She needed to stay focused and trust her instincts. She wasn’t sure if this stranger was trustworthy. He seemed to be so certain in pointing out the stable owner. Was he certain of what he saw? What else was he aware of? Jessy’s only concern at this point is finding her beloved horse. It’s okay if it means looking at every lead. So long as Africa is returned quickly and in good shape.
