The Stranger
Jessy did her best to describe the horse when asked by a stranger. She was not even halfway through her explanation when the man abruptly interrupted. Jessy’s stunned. “What if I said that your horse was not stolen, but ran away?” She was filled with so many questions. Who would steal her horse? How could they have known it was hers without even knowing? What do they intend to do with it? She didn’t know what the stranger was saying. Could it be? Was her horse stolen? Did the stable owner say her horse simply ran away when she said it was a runaway?
Jessy was confused by the words of the stranger. She couldn’t believe it. If it was true, then why would the owner of the stables do it? What if he was just making this up? She was so confused that she could not even formulate a reply. Did the stable owner gain anything by taking her horse away? Did he do it? She started to doubt what the man said, but she still wanted to trust him. She wanted to find out the truth. What exactly happened to her horse.
