Warm Bath

Taking a bath in frigid water can cause shivering and even raise the body’s temperature. However, lukewarm water serves to lower the body’s temperature. Do not attempt to bring down a fever by jumping into cold water, as this causes blood to race to the internal organs to protect them from the cold, thereby increasing the internal body temperature.
If you do not wish to take a bath, you can restore your body’s temperature by placing a wet towel on your cranium or the back of your neck.
