What You Need to Know About Fever

Symptoms of Fever

Fever is not a disease, but rather a symptom of another infection or illness. The manifestations of fever differ from person to person and condition to condition. In some cases, the fever subsides on its own without manifesting any symptoms, whereas if the condition worsens, numerous severe symptoms may be observed. Some of the most prevalent symptoms associated with fever include:

Warm to the Touch

The most common symptom for diagnosing a fever is a warm sensation to the touch. The body’s temperature rises both externally and internally. When a person with a fever is touched, his body feels heated. The individual is unable to function and has difficulty concentrating.

Normal temperature detection involves touching the cranium or neck of another individual. To determine the specific body temperature, however, a thermometer is utilized.
