Tumor Fever
Fever can be caused by a tumor. Occasionally, tumors cause the production of pyrogens, the chemical that causes fever. Some tumors can become contaminated. Brain tumors can impair the hypothalamus, preventing it from regulating the body’s temperature, which can cause fever. Some of the medications used to treat fever can exacerbate the condition. In addition, cancer can impair the immune system, making the body susceptible to infection, which can result in fever and other disorders.
