Lewy bodies
A person having Parkinson’s disease might have clumps of proteins in their brain which are medically known as lewy bodies or alpha-synuclein. The buildup of lewy bodies can lead to a loss of nerve cells in the brain thus leading to changes in mood, behavior, movement, and thinking. The accumulation of lewy bodies in the brain can also result in dementia in some patients. Although the dementia resulting from lewy bodies is not as same as Parkinson’s disease but people might experience the same symptoms as they both share similar symptoms.
