Formation of scales on the oily skin (seborrheic Dermatitis)
Patients with Parkinson’s disease develop white or yellow scales in the oily areas of their skin. Seborrheic Dermatitis, a skin condition that is common in the general population, is more prevalent in Parkinson’s patients. The skin becomes scaly, has dandruff and is red, especially on oily areas of the face, such as the side of the nose, or the scalp.
