Glomerulonephritis is a disorder that causes inflammation in the glomeruli, the kidney’s minute filtering organs. Glomerulonephritis may occur abruptly, for instance following a sore throat, and the individual may recover. Therefore, the disease may develop progressively over many years and may result in an abnormally high level of kidney function.
