Elevated Blood Pressure
Hypertension, also known as elevated blood pressure, is a prevalent cause of kidney disease and other conditions, such as strokes and heart attacks. High blood pressure occurs when the blood’s force against the artery walls increases. When hypertension is under control, the likelihood of complications such as chronic kidney disease decreases. High blood pressure may be detrimental to the kidneys’ blood vessels, causing them to malfunction. If the blood vessels in your kidneys become damaged, the function of your kidneys may be compromised. They may not be as effective at removing excess fluid and debris from the body. The presence of excessive fluid in the blood vessels may increase blood pressure even further, creating a vicious cycle. High blood pressure may be detrimental to the kidneys’ blood vessels.
