Supplements and Medications
Many medications, such as acetaminophen, can be poisonous to the liver. These include sedatives (when taken excessively), anti-toxins used for tuberculosis and cholesterol reducers. Some spices and additives are also harmful to the liver, such as high amounts of niacin or vitamin B3, comfrey and germander.
Before taking any medication or improving your health, you should always talk to your doctor about the expected results. Ask your doctor if you should have a liver test because you are taking meds, or healthy foods.
