Variceal Bleeding
Blood can be diverted from more modest veins by entry hypertension. These more modest veins may explode due to the added weight. Entrance hypertension can cause enlarged veins in the stomach or throat (esophageal variations) that may lead to dangerous dying. If the liver is unable to produce enough coagulating elements, it can also lead to dangerous dying.
