Stage 4 (Liver Failure)
You liver is incapable of recovering. Liver failure is a chronic or acute condition. Intense liver damage can occur in as little as 48 hours, usually due to a drug overdose or injury. The liver damage caused by cirrhosis can be persistent for a very long time. When you are experiencing liver failure, a liver transplant may be the best option.
It can affect you both intellectually and emotionally as liver failure progresses. You may feel confused or perplexed. You might experience the runs, lose your appetite and quickly get into shape. It is hard to diagnose liver failure from a simple test because these symptoms can be caused by many different conditions. When you are given a liver failure analysis, you’ll get prompt clinical guidance on how to save what is left your liver. If this is not possible, your main option might be to have a liver transplant.
You should have your health regularly checked, because liver disease can be detected during the fibrosis or aggravation stages by an ultrasound or X ray of your stomach. If you can be treated at this stage, your liver will have a chance to heal and recover.
