Cancer and its different manifestations
As with cancers in other parts of the body, liver cancer can be deadly and cause cirrhosis or permanent liver damage. In Europe and other countries like Japan, where alcohol consumption is high, liver cancer is a leading cause of death.
These are the most common causes of liver cancer.
- Alcohol abuse is a chronic problem
- Fat accumulation in the liver (nonalcoholic, greasy liver infection).
- Some remedies or over the counter drugs
- Overuse of toxic materials
- Cancer that can spread to the liver.
