Chronic Fatigue
Fatigue is a common complaint among people who have liver disease, regardless of whether it’s due to a viral hepatitis or an inherited disorder such as G6PD deficiency, or excessive alcohol consumption. Fatigue can be acute, chronic or even debilitating. The severity of liver disease was not linked to fatigue in studies. Some people with liver disease may not experience fatigue at all, while others with less severe liver problems may feel completely exhausted.
It is difficult to determine whether fatigue is caused by the liver or another organ. This can be due to a variety of health conditions, such as anemia, sleep disorders, dehydration and poor diet. If you experience other symptoms such as nausea and vomiting or right upper abdomen pain, then you should see your doctor to get a complete diagnosis.
