The correct diagnosis permits the development of a future plan of action to combat the disease. Consuming lactose without developing symptoms is typically a trial-and-error process requiring close observation of the amounts consumed. These are several preventative measures against lactose intolerance. The majority of these measures are preventative and not curative.
