Gonococcal Conjunctivitis or Gonorrhea of the Eyes
Gonorrhea may also cause fever and extend to the eyes. Typically, widespread gonorrhea occurs when an infected person contacts the site of the infection or his genitals and then touches his eyes without thoroughly washing his hands. Among the symptoms of ocular gonorrhea are:
Redness and inflammation of the eye
Puffiness of the eyelids
Eye irritation, sensitivity, and discomfort
Viscous yellow or white discharge accumulating around the eyes
