Men With Penises
People with penises are more likely to exhibit symptoms if they contract gonorrhea. Typically, the onset of symptoms occurs within a week of contracting the infection. The following are some of the most common gonorrhea symptoms among men:
Inflammation or discomfort in the testicles
discharge of yellow, green, or colorless from the penis
Burning sensation or agony during urination
Gonorrhea can also infect the anus if you have anal sez, or you can transfer the infection from another part of your body, such as by wiping after using the restroom, to your anus. Anal gonorrhea typically does not manifest with symptoms. However, gonorrhea in the anus may cause the following symptoms:
Abnormal discharge of the nasopharynx
Itching or irritation within or around the anus
You may experience gonorrhea symptoms anywhere between 2 and 30 days after exposure to the infection. Therefore, it may take several days or weeks for symptoms to manifest, or you may not experience any at all. In addition, pain or a searing sensation may be the initial symptom you experience. Other possible gonorrhea symptoms may include:
Discomfort while evacuating feces
Increased frequency or urgency of urination
Pain or enlargement of the ovaries
Discoloration and enlargement of the penile cap
The color of the pus-like discharge from the penis may be beige, white, greenish, or yellow.
Itching and pain in the anus
Rectal hemorrhage or discharge
