The drug Accutane

Accutane is prescribed to treat moderate to severe forms of acne. Accutane contains the retinoid isotretinoin, which is beneficial for the treatment of acne. The retinoid unclogs pores, making it simpler for other gels and creams to penetrate the skin, and removes dead skin cells from within hair follicles. Retinoid controls sebaceous production, but this medication is only available with a doctor’s prescription. Women should avoid taking this medication during pregnancy and while attempting to conceive. Accutane’s side effects include chapped lips, suicidal ideation, yellow skin, and migraines.
