Acne is a delicate issue that must be handled with care. The majority of people believe certain acne healing and treatment falsehoods. Acne cannot be treated overnight, nor will additional exfoliation hasten the healing process. Exfoliating is a method for removing bacteria and dead skin cells from the body, but excessive exfoliation can dry out the epidermis. In the earliest phases of acne, treatment is most effective. This will prevent acne from becoming a severe condition. Once treatment is initiated and acne is eradicated, this does not mean that it will never return. Acne can return at any time, so you must continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle and take your medications. Using toothpaste on acne scars will reduce inflammation, but there is a greater likelihood that this pimple will leave a trace.
The most effective treatment for zits is to allow them to resolve on their own. Cysts and nodules can take up to six weeks to recover, whereas a small pimple typically heals within a few days. In contrast, acne scars can take up to six months to wane away. Permanent acne scars require specialized treatment and care in order to recover.
