Urethritis Operation
Surgical intervention may be necessary for a subset of patients with bladder outlet obstruction. Options for surgery include bladder neck incision, endoluminal implants, laser enucleation or vaporisation, and transurethral prostate resection (TURP).
urethra neck incision
It is a surgical procedure used to treat urinary tract infections. The procedure is also known as reconstruction of the urinary tract. Females are more likely to undergo this procedure, but a significant number of males also opt for it because it helps manage the symptoms of an infection caused by an enlarged urethra.
Bladder neck incision is a minor surgical procedure in which an incision is made near the urethra in women and the point where the urethra exits the bladder in males. The cut or incision is made to prevent the recurrence of a urinary tract infection.
Endovascular implantation
In cases where medical treatment for urinary tract infections fails, drainage sacks are frequently required. Endoluminal implants are a novel option made possible by advances in medical technology. These sterile, flexible, metallic tubes provide a conduit for urine to exit the body without the need for an external container. Subcutaneous space is where the drainage passages are secured. Through the urethra, a small reservoir (catheter point) is inserted directly into the urinary bladder. The conduit is then extended from the catheter tip, allowing urine to exit the body via the surgical drain and the bladder.
Laser oophorectomy
If surgery is required, laser enucleation is now available as a treatment option. Laser Enucleation or Laser Curettage has been approved as the treatment of choice for individuals with an infection of the urinary tract. These infections are cured by laser surgery without harming the adjacent tissue. This technique, which is performed under general anaesthesia, entails two small incisions to expose the prostate, followed by the use of lasers to remove the prostate tissue, thereby eliminating all bacteria.
Transurethral Prostate Resection (TURP)
Transurethral prostate resection (TURP) is a surgical treatment for partial obstruction of the urethra in males due to benign prostatic hyperplasia or recurrent urinary tract infections. Since the 1960s, the TURP procedure has been used to treat benign prostate disease and enlargement. This procedure is currently utilised to treat urinary incontinence and other urinary issues. The TURP procedure removes enlarged, localised prostate tissue that obstructs urine passage through the urethra.
