erratic mood fluctuations
People with bipolar disorder frequently experience mood fluctuations that are more extreme than typical mood changes. Patients with bipolar disorder experience long-lasting mood fluctuations, which means they may spend several days or weeks in depression or at a party. One day, the bipolar disorder patient experiences excessive exhilaration, rapid speech, destructive behavior, and insufficient sleep. The excited phase of mood fluctuations is known as the manic phase, which can also cause hallucinations that lead the patient to believe illogical events are occurring. In addition, it is not uncommon for the same bipolar disorder patients to be unable to leave their beds for several days or weeks in order to go to work. The depressive episode of bipolar disorder is characterized by feelings of suicidality, sadness, anxiety, and lack of motivation.
