Consuming disorders
If a person has an eating disorder, the severity of their bipolar disorder symptoms may be exacerbated. People with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia already have impaired mental health, so there is a possibility that their bipolar disorder symptoms will be more severe.
