Irritability
Hemolytic uremic syndrome patients can become irritable for a variety of reasons. Occasionally, certain patients exhibit extreme irritability and are extremely difficult to be around. I can only fathom how distressing this is for you and your loved ones. Due to frequent bleeding diarrhea, glucose deficiency (a form of sugar or carbohydrates) develops in the blood. The duration of irritation can range from several weeks to a year.
