Urination decrease
Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS) symptoms can include decreased urination, excessive thirst, and parched mouth. Reduced urination is not a symptom experienced by all patients with HUS. When a person has decreased urination, their kidneys aren’t filtering waste effectively, so they don’t produce enough waste to urinate. This can be life-threatening due to insufficient waste elimination from the body. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice a change in your urine’s color or a decrease in your urine output. If your child exhibits decreased urination as a symptom of HUS, it may be prudent to consult a physician, as early treatment can increase the likelihood of recovery and prevent additional complications.
