Cataract Common Causes
Cataract is multifactorial in origin. Causative agents belong to the domain of both, personal health, and environment.
Age
Age is an uncontrolled factor leading towards cataract. Most people develop cataract between 50 to 60 years of age. With the increase in age, the flexibility of the lens to focus light on retina also decreases. Moreover, after reaching 40 years of age the protein starts to build up in the lens of the eye which makes it cloudy and hazy. With the increase in age the lens becomes more opaque, which further increases the vision impairment.
