Cataract surgery for diabetic patients

Diabetes patients have a slower blood circulation which slows the healing process as nutrients do not reach the cells at the right amount. People with diabetes were closely monitored after cataract surgery to ensure the healing process. Only diabetic patients are eligible for cataract surgery if they have a stable blood sugar level and no previous history of eye infection. It is important to treat any eye infection that diabetics may have before the surgery.
