Double Vision

Another common symptom of cataract is double vision. The protein buildup causes light to be scattered when it passes through the lens. It then gets focused on 2 or more points of the retina, creating a double image. Double vision occurs when a person sees two distant images of the same object. Early on, the patient may not be able see clearly.
