Common Cataract Symptoms
The following complaints may be experienced by a patient who has a cataract. In the early stages, some of these complaints might be ignored by patients. In high-risk populations, like the elderly, these complaints shouldn’t be ignored. Recognizing the symptoms helps in early diagnosis and preventing complications of the disease.
Blurred Vision
Blurriness occurs when a person cannot see an image clearly. This is the most common sign of cataract. Light is dispersed in all directions when it passes through the protein buildup. The amount of blurriness is dependent on the size or smallness of the cataract. Even after cataract surgery, blurriness can last for a few days.
