Although vitamin C has numerous health benefits supported by scientific evidence, there are numerous claims with little or no scientific support. One of these claims supported by insufficient evidence is the treatment of lead toxicity. As individuals with lead toxicity tend to have reduced vitamin C levels, vitamin C supplementation may aid in the treatment of lead toxicity.
