Eggs
Eggs are an excellent source of protein, but they also contain 0.5 mcg of vitamin B12, which represents 20% of the recommended daily allowance. Eggs are a potential source of vitamin B12, but the body is less likely to metabolize all of it compared to other animal food sources. According to a study, the body absorbs only 9 percent of vitamin B12 from eggs, compared to 40 to 50 percent from red meat and other animal dietary sources. Fortunately, eating eggs on a regular basis can significantly contribute to vitamin B12 levels.
