Early Menstruation
Menarche is the medical term for the first period. Early menarche can cause fibroid formation in the uterus. Early menstruation is associated with a greater risk of fibroids, but also cardiovascular disease, type-2 diabetes and ovarian carcinoma. The increased estrogen exposure of young women increases the risk of developing uterine fibroids.
