Race or Ethnicity
Black women have a higher risk than other women in childbearing age to develop uterine fibroids. Women of black ethnicity are more likely than other women to develop uterine fibroids earlier in life and to have larger fibroids. Black women also experience more severe symptoms from uterine fibroid compared to other women.
