Jamu juice
The jamu juice is a traditional herbal drink that is refreshing and helps to balance the metabolism. The simple process of making jamu juice involves combining fresh turmeric, ginger, lemon and water with a small amount of honey. You can also serve jamu juice warm or cold depending on the season, to achieve the best immune-boosting effects.
Ingredients
- Fresh turmeric 125g
- 20 grams fresh ginger
- Black pepper pinch
- 2 tablespoons lemon
- Honey – 2 teaspoons or other sweeteners
- Coconut water, 4 cups
Method
- Wash the ginger and turmeric in hot water and slice them into thin slices. You can choose to peel the skin or not.
- Add the water, black pepper, ginger, turmeric and turmeric to a blender. Process on high speed.
- Pour the puree into a pot and bring to a boil. After 20 minutes, add the honey and lemon.
- Use a fine-mesh sieve, nut milk bag, or cloth to strain and store the mixture.
