Turmeric lattes
The research done on turmeric’s health benefits, especially its ability to reduce inflammation, is promising. However, it is still preliminary. This vegan drink is a must-try. It combines steamed milk with maple syrup and almond milk.
Ingredients
- Unsweetened almond or coconut milk, 1 cup
- Honey or maple syrup, 2 teaspoons
- Fresh turmeric grated to 1 tablespoon
- Pepper pinch
- Fresh ginger grated to 1 teaspoon
- Use 1 pinch of ground cinnamon as a garnish
Method
- Blend the milk with honey or maple syrup, turmeric, ginger, pepper and other spices in a high-speed blender until it is smooth. Pour the mixture in a small saucepan and heat until it steams over a medium flame, but do not bring it up to boiled.
- Pour the latte into a mug, and if you like, add a little cinnamon powder.
