Ginger-carrot-turmeric shots
These shots are a refreshing mix of carrot, coconut water, and turmeric. They deliver a mild heat from the turmeric and the sweetness of the carrots, along with the benefits of turmeric. Double the quantity of these shots and store them in the fridge for future use.
Ingredients
- Fresh turmeric, peeled and chopped coarsely
- 1 pound of very coarsely chopped carrots
- Fresh ginger, peeled and chopped coarsely
- Salt pinch
- Unsweetened Coconut Water, 3/4 cup
Method
- Blend ginger, turmeric and carrots with a half-cup of coconut water on high speed until the mixture is smooth. Pour the blended smoothie into a clean container using a sieve with fine mesh. To get the best out of your smoothie, press lightly on the strainer using a rubber spatula. This will remove the solids and allow you to extract the juice.
- Add the remaining 1/4 cup coconut water and mix well.
