Anti-Inflammatory Golden Tonic
Anti-inflammatory golden tonic can be made at home and is affordable. Instead of spending money on expensive supplements, you can combine green tea, honey and apple cider vinegar with herbs and turmeric for a refreshing drink and gain health. Golden tonic can improve health by alleviating symptoms such as chronic bloating and joint pain.
Ingredients
- 5 fresh sprigs of lightly bruised, fresh thyme
- Two cups of filtered water
- Green tea 2 bags
- Ginger Peeled and Finely Grated 1 Piece
- One piece of peeled, finely grated turmeric
- Raw cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon
- Honey, preferably Manuka honey 1 tablespoon
- 2 cups of chilled sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- For garnish, 4 wedges of lime are sufficient.
Method
- Over a high flame, bring water to a gentle boil. Stir continuously to dissolve honey. Add the thyme and tea bags. Reduce the heat and let the mixture steep on low flame for a few moments. Strain the mixture through a sieve that has a fine mesh and pour it into a mason-jar. Refrigerate for one hour.
- Pour sparkling water in half the cup and then add the tonic mix to the other half. To increase the taste, you can serve the tonic along with ice cubes and a wedge of lime.
