Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a joint degenerative disease. It can affect the hands, knees, hips, or any other joint in the body. Hand arthritis is the name for it if it affects your hand. Hand arthritis can be seen on the wrist, fingers and middle knuckles. Osteoarthritis is characterized by the loss of cartilage in the joints, causing the bones to rub against each other without any cushion. This rubbing can lead to inflammation. The rubbing of bones can also cause inflammation in other tissues, such as tendons and ligaments. It is difficult to move the fingers and also faces stiffness of joints. This can lead to trigger finger. Trigger finger is a result of swelling of the tendons caused by osteoarthritis.
