Other Disorders
Researchers are examining whether TS can be associated with other disorders, such as dyslexia or ADHD and obsessive compulsive behavior. These disorders may occur in conjunction with Tourette Syndrome.
Scientists continue to learn the cause of Tourette Syndrome (TS) and the risk factors that may be involved. They are also working to find ways to better manage symptoms and reduce the chances of anyone developing TS. The causes of Tourette Syndrome (TS) and other tic disorder are not fully understood. Some studies reveal that TS may be a complex genetic disorder caused by the interaction of multiple genes and environmental factors.
Scientists are also studying the environmental factors that can contribute to Tourette Syndrome. Some studies have shown that these are the possible factors that may link to Tourette syndrome, but further studies are needed to better understand the links.
