Anemia
Anemia is more likely to occur if you have excessive bleeding caused by thrombocytopenia. Anemia is not only caused by a variety of medical conditions, but thrombocytopenia can also be a cause. Thrombocytopenia can cause a person to lose a lot of blood. This blood can seep into the skin and cause purpuras and bruises. Anemia may be caused by internal bleeding or heavy menstrual blood loss, both of which can cause thrombocytopenia.
