Hemorrhage
Hemorrhage is also called extreme blood loss. It describes blood loss within or outside of the body. In severe thrombocytopenia, the body loses a large amount of blood which can lead to hemorrhage. The brain or intestines may bleed heavily, which can be fatal. If not addressed immediately, this issue can lead to other complications. A low level of platelets can cause the brain and other body parts to stop working properly. Even minor injuries can cause severe blood loss. The oxygen supply to the brain and other organs will decrease, and this disease will lead to other diseases and complications.
