Stool bleeding
As bleeding is the major cause of thrombocytopenia. It can also cause bleeding in the stools. In severe thrombocytopenia it is impossible to stop the bleeding without taking action. Blood can therefore be seen in the stool. The bleeding does not happen until it is severe, but a continuous flow of blood from the stools and other areas can lead to anemia.
