Headache
A minor symptom of thrombocytopenia is headache.
Headache is often associated with brain bleeding. A person who has both a low platelet count AND a headache can have a serious neurological condition. Low blood counts can also cause headaches, dizziness and lightheadedness. In a study of 296 patients with thrombocytopenia the results revealed that most had migraines, bruising, and a blood disorder.
