Jaundice
A common sign of bleeding is bruising. The red blood cells begin to break down due to bleeding. This leads to the formation of Bilirubin. Bilirubin is a substance that builds up in blood, which causes the skin to yellow and the eyes to turn yellow. This condition is called jaundice. Jaundice can be a serious complication of liver disease, and it affects treatment for liver cirrhosis. As thrombocytopenia is a bleeding disorder, it can limit the ability to do surgical procedures.
