She didn’t perform
Parents were concerned that it would be hard to get Jodi perform at their wedding. She confessed that this was the first time she performed at a wedding for someone who wasn’t a family member. Despite their concerns, they remained hopeful. They found people who knew Jodi, and they told them about how much she loved The Little Mermaid as an adult. They did everything possible to show how important it was to them, and how much their daughter loved the movie.
Spending no expense
It is expensive to hire a wedding band. They knew that they’d have to pay high prices to get Jodi to perform at their daughter’s wedding. The couple was desperate to have Jodi attend the wedding of their daughter, so they told her that they would pay whatever she requested. Jodi was more interested in their story than the compensation.
