Around thirty minutes later, the large open field was transformed into a playground. The kids were running and bouncing around with boundless energy. Ian and Violet quickly became friends with other children, and were involved in a game of tag. The air was filled with laughter and shouts of joy.
The parents were enjoying their leisure time, and sat on their picnic blankets, raising their voices occasionally to call their children over. They also made sure they took the opportunity to grab some snacks, or to drink a few gulps of water.
Relax
After Violet and Ian had spent enough energy running around, they walked back to their parents in search of a brief respite. The two sat on the blanket and lost themselves in their own worlds for a while.
Mark was focused on solving an especially challenging sudoku puzzle. Violet was carefully stringing flowers together to create a beautiful necklace. Ian was following around interesting bugs with a childlike curiosity.
