Be careful
A log floated in the water a few meters from the shore. Ian had noticed it casually earlier, but now something seemed wrong about its location. It was definitely moving. As he watched, mesmerized by the log, it shifted again.
Their playful tactic was a sure-fire success! Ian, who was perilously close to water’s edge as he looked around, noticed something strange.
A Log
Ian was a little sceptical about his father’s explanation. He returned to the log to confirm his suspicions. He was shocked to see that it kept on moving sporadically.
Ian, bursting with curiosity and excitement, ran back to his parents in order to share his discovery. His father explained calmly that the log was moving because of the current in the river, dispelling Ian’s initial amazement.
