Suleiman Ali Nashnush was one of only a few people in the world to reach or exceed a height of eight feet. He died in 1991 but will always be remembered as being one of the world’s tallest basketball players. Suleiman, who was born in Libya, played basketball for the Libyan national team. However, at that time he was just 7 feet 10 inches tall. Suleiman had a chronic disease that caused him to grow constantly. His exponential growth stopped only after he received surgery.
